“Dedicated to the anniversary of the liberation of Sudzha from the Fascists of the 21st Century!”

Schools, libraries, and even kindergartens in the Kursk region held events marking the first anniversary of the “liberation of Sudzha from the Ukrainian Armed Forces.” Children were told about the military operation “Potok,” shown documentary films, and involved in patriotic activities.

At Budanovskaya School, students attended a “hour of remembrance,” where they were told about the events of March 2025 and the “facts of Sudzha’s liberation,” followed by a minute of silence for the fallen. At Krivetskaya School, a “patriotic” discussion was held even for second graders.

“Such events help shape respect for the history of one’s homeland and a sense of pride in its heroic past among the younger generation,” — Krivetskaya Secondary School.

In many schools, including sports schools, the central element was screening the film “Sudzha. Iron Stream.” Students of School No. 30 were also made to weave camouflage nets and produce trench candles, described as “vital for soldiers on the front line.”

“Through this event, we once again became convinced that Kursk land has a heroic past and an equally heroic present,” — Dmitrievskaya School.

Some schools hosted meetings with participants in the war against Ukraine. For example, at School No. 15, a member of the Association of SMO Veterans led a “lesson of courage,” telling students about the operation “firsthand.”

Schools also organized poetry readings and art exhibitions dedicated to “215 days of courage” and the “anniversary of the liberation of Sudzha from the fascists of the 21st century.”

“There were works about weeping birch trees scarred by shrapnel, … and about a frontline father whose son asks forgiveness that fascists are once again trampling his land…” — Goncharovskaya School.

“Patriotic” events were also held in kindergartens across the region. In Kindergarten No. 127, a “Conversation About Important Things” was conducted, where a school student group — the “RODIMTSEVTSY” agit-brigade — performed a literary and musical composition about the war:

“Z is a banner, Z is resilience, Z is courage, Z is us. We are witnesses of victory, we are the ones who keep the flame, and as long as we remember, as long as we stand firm — Russia will stand.”
