Who We Are

Project «NeNorma» is an independent Russian research and media project. We work to identify and analyze cases of military propaganda and indoctrination in educational institutions. Using data and media analysis, we aim to build public awareness of the unacceptability of state interference in children’s education, the militarization of schools, and any form of indoctrination.

The normalization of war has become part of Russia’s state education policy, which we consider both morally unacceptable and undemocratic.

Our areas of work:

• Monitoring educational institutions and identifying and analyzing cases, methods, and trends of military propaganda and indoctrination.

• Preparing analytical reports and distributing materials through media and press.

• Collecting and storing data for research and analysis.

• Supporting researchers, journalists, human rights advocates, and other interested parties in preparing publications and analyzing data.

• Assisting parents who seek to protect their children from state indoctrination in schools.

Mission

Our mission is to ensure a safe, high-quality, and unbiased educational environment for children — free from state interference in their upbringing and personal development.

Vision

To foster broad public understanding of the unacceptability of imposing state ideology and normalizing war in educational institutions. We strive for children to grow into informed and independent citizens, capable of forming their own views and making conscious decisions.

Values

• Children’s rights: We recognize and defend children’s rights as individuals, not as passive objects of care or charity.

• Freedom of thought and expression: We value the right of every person, including children, to freely express their views and beliefs, and to seek, receive, and share information.

• Education and development: We support education free from propaganda and manipulation, as a foundation for personal development and critical thinking.

• Justice and equality: We advocate for fair and equal education for all children, regardless of their political views or background.

• Integrity and transparency: We adhere to principles of honesty and transparency in our work and publications, and are committed to providing accurate and reliable information.

• Public interest: Our organization exists and operates in the interest of society as a whole, and especially in the interest of children.
