Graduates of the military-patriotic training center “VOIN” will now receive additional points when applying to universities. According to the center’s chairman, 32 universities in 13 regions of Russia, as well as in occupied territories of Ukraine, already recognize certificates of program completion.
At Far Eastern Federal University (FEFU), students can receive up to 10 extra points on their Unified State Exam scores for military training; at RUDN University — 3 points. Universities in Kamchatka Krai and Murmansk Region offer up to 10 points, while in Belgorod Region — up to 5. The list, according to the center, will continue to expand.
“Every graduate of FEFU must possess not only professional skills but also be a true patriot: … able to defend their Motherland and their family,” — said rector Boris Korobets.
According to the leadership of the VOIN center, military training opens up “new opportunities for career development and further education” for school students.
“I believe this is a real social elevator for those who have completed our programs,” — added the chairman of the center.
❗️Extra admission points tied to the Unified State Exam are increasingly used as a tool to involve teenagers in pro-government and militarized structures.
We have previously written about how members of the Movement of the First are promised state-funded university places and admission bonuses. Similar mechanisms are used in Yunarmiya. Another example is the gamified project “Berloga,” launched by Putin after the start of the war. School students are offered up to 10 extra EGE points for learning drone operation and software development skills.
