"Schools are looking for soldiers for Putin's war." Propaganda and children

«Radio Liberty» has published an excellent article about the state of the Russian education system and the indoctrination of children in schools and kindergartens.

Teachers began to be used as a propaganda tool long before the war against Ukraine. They were forced to falsify elections and agitate to vote for candidates from United Russia. After the start of a full-scale invasion in February 2024, the entire education system turned into a state machine of military propaganda.

“The authorities are imposing war on children and advertising military service to high school students as a new social elevator”

In the article, one of the authors of our project, Dmitry Tsibirev, told how propaganda events in Russian schools have changed.

“We are seeing a trend now. Last school year, the authorities began preparing children for military service <...> Now the main focus is the moral and practical preparation of high school students for participation in military operations,” Tsibirev explains.

Today, the Russian education system actively uses propaganda and militarization methods to form in children and adolescents the perception of military service as an integral part of their lives.

“What upsets me most is that the Russian government is trying to make a holiday out of a tragedy in the eyes of children,” Dmitry summed up.
