Students from Nizhny Novgorod are being taught how to surrender as prisoners of war

In Nizhny Novgorod, 42 students underwent basic military training at the «Avangard» Center for Patriotic Education from September to December 2023.

In photos published by Deputy Director Andrey Nesterenko from the "urban building assault tactics" training, a group of students is seen lying on the floor in military uniforms with their eyes blindfolded. Taped eyes are a common practice in handling prisoners of war. It appears that the young people were practicing surrendering.

The training was part of the initial military preparation course «Ratnoe Delo 2.0». The youth movement «Chkalov» and the «Avangard» center received a grant of 700,000 rubles from «Rosmolodezh» to purchase equipment for the events.
