In Russia, military centers known as «VOIN» (Warrior) have begun to open, specializing in preparing teenagers for military service. Currently, such centers operate in 11 regions of Russia and one in the occupied territory of Donetsk Oblast. The leadership of these centers plans to open branches in all regions of Russia. Each branch will eventually have its own military specialization based on the most demanded skills during the war. For example, in Yakutia, children are already being trained as snipers.

Over the summer, these military centers provided training in military and practical skills to over 9,000 teenagers aged 14 to 17. Training initially took place in children's summer camps, but now it occurs on their own training grounds. Schoolchildren are trained in various areas, including engineering, tactical training, communication organization, piloting drones, and tactical medicine.

The initiators of this military training for children are Sergey Kirienko, the first deputy head of the Russian presidential administration, and Yuri Trutnev, the presidential envoy to the Russian Far East.
