In Novocherkassk, Rostov Region, a ceremonial unveiling took place for a mural dedicated to the “Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Armed Forces, Vladimir Putin.” The portrait, along with a description of Putin’s childhood, school years, and personal interests, was painted directly on the wall of School No. 8

The “patriotic art installation” was created as part of the nationwide project “Faces of Heroes.” According to the organizers, it aims to “preserve historical memory and instill respect for outstanding individuals.”

“It’s very important for us to unite around this meaningful task of patriotic education for our students. In my opinion, the new mural will become a bright and significant object for our school,” — said acting principal Galina Pogibelnaya.

From now on, all school assemblies and ceremonial events will be held in front of the mural. The school administration believes the artwork will contribute to the “growth of the educational environment within the teaching community.”
